The G3 Alpinist skins have been engineered from tip to tail to be the lightest, fastest gliding, best climbing and most secure climbing skins available. The skins are attached using an innovative laminated tip connector with low profile, self-aligning stainless steel hands for a secure, lightweight connection and a low profile laminated tail strap. G3 Alpinist skins use a proprietary lightweight, fast gliding, high traction, supple synthetic plush. A RipStrip helps to reduce skin-to-skin adhesion making it easier to pull apart the skins. You can get maximum skin coverage by choosing a skin that is slightly narrower than the widest part of your ski and then trimming the skin to the shape of your ski. The extra work required to trim will more than make up for itself with the superior grip of a skin with “wall to wall” coverage. Choose a skin that covers your ski base “wall to wall” (edge to edge) about 25cm (10in) back from the ski tip. E.g. If the dimensions of your skis are 132-100-123, a pair of 130mm skins will do nicely.
