Developed in Vancouver and tested in the Himalayas, the Hillsound Trail Crampon is designed to handle diverse winter terrain and extreme weather conditions. The crampon utilizes an ergonomic plate system to provide excellent traction with less muscular fatigue. Eleven, strategically placed, heat-treated S50C alloy spikes ensure equal distribution of weight for maximum balance along with guaranteed grip on hard pack snow or ice without compromising durability or ease of use. The durable Elastomer harness ensures a tight hold on the shoe with a Velcro strap over the top to eliminate movement. Even at temperatures below -60c the harness will not lose its elasticity. The double chain assures an extra-strong connection between the elastic harness and the spike plate.
