This is a great 4-season boot for women wanting a little more dexterity, lower weight and a more natural walking action. The Edge is a B2 crampon compatible boot which is extremely lightweight for the support given and, due to the rocked sole and Internal Midsole System, very comfortable to walk in. The boot benefits from a cleanly designed upper with a nice big rand to maintain durability on rock. The lacing extends to the toe for a close precise fit and the ankle cuff is quite low making this boot ideal for scrambling and via ferrata, as well as glacier travel. There is a good level of cushioning and a great rolling action underfoot too, so a long walk-in below the snowline is easy on the foot. The Edge uses a Vibram® Mulaz sole which adapts to a wide variety of alpine terrain and to the most extreme conditions thanks to a 360° helical tread, which is especially effective when ascending and descending. The Edge is ideal for year-round mountaineering and scrambling.
