The Edge is a superb B2 rated boot, ideal for winter walking and mountaineering in UK and Europe. The Edge is suprisingly light for this type of boot, using Aku's IMS technology, this improves the comfort and shock absorbtion, but also gives the sole unit a lower profile keeping the weight down. The uppers are made from 1.8mm leather with reinforcing rands for foot protection, and have a Gore-Tex lining for extra weather protection and good breathability. Vibram EVA cushioned sole unit. Comfortable enough to be used as a general hill walking and scrambling boot.
