The Zyper Vertigo is a real energy absorption system, effective and easy to handle.It is basically a version of the Zyper Y fitted with 2 Vertigo carabiners with automatic locking. It is designed for absorbing the energy of a fall, in a dynamic way, by the sliding of the rope in the absorber. Petzl have made this energy absorber as simple and reliable as possible. Special stitching of very high strength joins the rope to the 2 arms of the Y-shaped webbing lanyard. No bulky knot! The braking rope is tidily stowed on the gear-loops of the harness, making it difficult to catch your feet in it. The Zyper Vertigo is fitted with a webbing loop to join directly to the harness with a larks head knot.
