The Grivel Brenva Axe  is a great all rounder - suitable for for Scottish conditions, alpine mountaineering, glacier travel, general winter mountaineering and walking. The Brenva features a curved T rated shaft for improved self-arrest and optimum handling when plunging into deep snow. The curve also allows for a pivot point against the chest for better control when in self-arrest mode.
