Pack

The Black Diamond Bandit AvaLung ski pack is designed to go where you ski, be it resort skiing and riding, hiking for side-country freshies or a day of touring deep in the backcountry. Durable, versatile and practical, the Black Diamond Bandit AvaLung ski pack has numerous features that set it apart from any others. The AvaLung mouthpiece delivers fresh air from the intake box and expels CO2 to the exhaust port. The fresh air is pulled from the snow through a bi-valve intake box located in the shoulder strap and the exhaled CO2 is then directed away from the body through an integrated exhaust port at the base of the pack. The AvaLung mouthpiece and tubing stow away in the left side shoulder strap when not in use. An insulated hydration sleeve is in the right side shoulder strap. After 15 minutes, your chances for survival are slim to none. Equipped with an AvaLung, however, you can significantly extend your fresh air supply.

Shovel

Once again Black Diamond has gone back to the drawing board, and instead of re-inventing the wheel, they have re-invented the trusty old shovel. It features a unique trapezoidal shaft that cannot rotate, offering immediate spring-pin engagement and an innovative, patent pending bent shaft that allows it to slide into the blade. The ultra-strong aluminium blade is carefully engineered for maximum snow removal during recoveries and clean cuts during snow pit analysis. The new ergonomic glove-and mitt-friendly handle offers the benefit of both T and D-shaped handles in one design and provides super reliable performance just when it really matters.

Probe

The QuickDraw Super Tour 265 is a great option for climbers and skiers who travel to various climates and deal with deeper snow packs. It assembles quickly for emergency use thanks to the QuickDraw system that adjusts and locks the probe together with the tug of a cable loop. Each section is utilized in the length of the probe, and along with the oversized aluminum tubing, contributes to a lighter, stiffer probe. The Super Tour works well in the field for practicing rescue techniques, evaluating pits and executing stability tests and the marked five-cm increments make depth measurement easy.
