Established in 1976, Lockwoods is a family owned and run specialist ski and outdoor store.

Originally a quality caravan and camping store, concentrating on the ski and outdoor side of the business has meant that the caravan side has given way to make Lockwoods one of the leading specialist stores in the UK, with a reputation for service, choice and knowledge. Our service has led to several awards in recent years including, “National Independent Retailer of the Year” in 2009.

We offer a large and varied size range in clothing, catering for most sizes and budgets, and equipment for all your skiing, trekking and climbing needs. Our boot fitting service is regarded as the best available in the UK, with our “fit guarantee” giving you complete peace of mind. Full workshop facilities are based in-store for all your ski servicing and boot modification needs.

DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD SCHEME:

Lockwoods has formed a good relationship with a number of schools to supply the equipment required for the bronze, silver and gold awards. In particular, Lockwoods has formed a strong local connection with The Kingsley School and is proud to support their pupils for this worthy scheme.
